INNER HARBOUR THERAPY
About Inner Harbour Thearpy
Committed to creating a safe space
Welcome, my name is Phil Hyde and I am the founder and main therapist at Inner Harbour. I grew up in a fishing town, watching the ships come in and out of the harbour - seeing them coming in from the rough seas after weeks away, finding safety and refuge in the Inner Harbour. It was a place to find peace from the rough seas, where they could regenerate and heal.
That is my aim with Inner Harbour Therapy - to provide people with a place of safety, where they can process and heal, away from the chaotic and rough seas of life. If you are struggling mentally or emotionally with low-self esteem or mood, anxiety, depression or trauma (to name just a few) then please contact me.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, looking at relationships past and present, and how people embody the environment around them. Also, what gives people purpose in life and how they find meaning, exploring their agency, voice and choices to help build a picture of self and help process whatever the person needs to process. Having done this, they are able to go back into the seas of life. I mainly use a Psycho-Dynamic approach but integrate elements of Humanistic and Person-Centered methods to complement my holistic approach.
